Crystal LED "Black Crystal" display is coming again. This screen made of Crystal LED developed by Sony will be used to display native 4K content, 8K content, and 2.4:1 movie content, focusing on the high-definition image quality of Sony Ultra-High Definition Camera. It is believed that it will bring a shocking image experience to visitors. At present, a well-known television station in the United States has adopted this "black crystal" display screen for broadcasting related applications. In addition, it has also been used by many major international automobile manufacturers for design and development, and many large companies, such as Oriental Airlines, have installed this "black crystal" display screen for various applications.

In the IP Live exhibition area, users can experience Sony’s growing high-end on-site production solutions. In addition to the development of network media interface (NMI), it is also a brand-new creation of media transmission standards with SMPTE ST2110, and compatibility of NMOS IS-04/05 device discovery and management protocol, aiming to gradually promote the IP Live program production program scheme to have broader interoperability performance. Sony has always fulfilled its commitment to supporting open standards, and its on-site production system solutions continue to grow and grow – system cameras, multi-format switchboards and program production servers will support IP and 12G-SDI interfaces to provide users with better flexibility. Sony IP Live technology supports mature and secure NMI. (NMI has been recognized as the prevailing standard ARIB STD-B73 of Japan Industry Association, and supports ST2110 standard. Live Element Orchestrator (LEO Live Broadcast Resource Management and Control System), the first Live Broadcast Resource Management and Control System launched by Sony, aims to improve equipment performance and resource utilization, thereby reducing system downtime and further enhance the productivity of content production. The system provides broadcasting companies and content creators with the ability to manage and control equipment across different systems, vendors and multiple sites, greatly reducing downtime and increasing program output, thus releasing greater potential of IP solutions. It highlights Sony’s consistent commitment to continue investing in IP-based solutions to improve efficiency, flexibility and interoperability, so that broadcasters can continuously and effectively adapt to the development of 4K/8K and even higher systems in the future, and continuously realize the vision of high-quality broadcasting and serving the public. LEO system combines BirTV with Sony IP Live system to realize the overall management and monitoring of all Sony products and third-party products.

Three new 4K system cameras, HDC-5500/HDC-3500 and HDC-P50, will be fully displayed at the BIRTV Sony Exhibition in 2009. What skills do they have? Three unique technologies are used for core components: First, three CMOS imagers with 2/3 inch 4K global shutter are exclusively used. When shooting high-speed moving pictures, jelly effect will not be produced; when using flash lamp, the flash band of the picture will be automatically eliminated; in studio recording environment, the global shutter can avoid the effect of high-brightness flashing of large LED screen. Secondly, the DSP processing chip developed by Sony guarantees excellent picture quality. Thirdly, support BT.2020 broadband and better spectroscopic prism, through the physical characteristics of prism, more wavelength light can be transmitted, so that various colors can be effectively separated, more faithful color reduction.

With the advent of 4K/8K ultra-high definition era and the popularization of new technologies of big data and cloud computing, customers will face the problem of storage management of video and audio materials. Sony has launched ODA Massive CD-ROM Data Storage System, which can provide users with a high capacity, high speed, more secure, reliable and low energy consumption green data archiving solution. In addition, with Sony’s new Pilot Integrated Media Management System, Media Backbone Navigator X, it can also provide simpler and more efficient material content and workflow management, support 4K/8K ultra-high definition video material, and manage a variety of formats of office documents, such as PDF and Office documents. In response to the broader industry market, Sony headquarters decided to manufacture ODA products in China. The first batch of products was officially launched on April 12, 2019. In 2020, Sony will also launch a new generation of ODA drives, a new generation of enterprise-class CD-ROM libraries, and innovative data value-added services. It will work in parallel with like-minded partners to provide customers with practical, more efficient, safer and more reliable data storage solutions.

Cine AltaV digital film camera is also one of the key products of the exhibition. Once on the market, the camera has become one of the main models of film and television shooting in the market. It is the choice of many popular blockbusters, such as Avatar 2 and 3 directed by James Cameron, One Second directed by Zhang Yimou, King of New Comedy directed by Zhou Xingchi, and so on. In this exhibition, Cine AltaV launched a 4.0 high frame rate version, which upgraded 4K 120 FPS and 6K 60 FPs to provide unlimited creative space for photographers who like high frame rate. More flexible is that Cine AltaV can be operated separately, dividing big cameras into two parts, after losing weight, it can shuttle freely in a narrow space, enriching the photographer’s shooting methods and shooting techniques.

The 4K hand-held camera PXW-FS7 adds CNG (C=Cinema) kit, which can skillfully change the shoulder-mounted machine for news shooting with large-frame FS7 series cameras to meet the needs of news gathering applications. At the same time, FS7 series cameras can achieve shallower picture effect, produce more film-like picture effect, better highlight the main body of the picture, and more suitable for thematic program reporting in pursuit of film-like picture.

The solution of PZW-4000C XAVC workstation is to meet the increasing demand of 4K broadcasting in 4K channel. It can record 4K high quality and high bit rate formats XAVC-I 500M and XAVC-L 200M/422/10bit, and support high-speed exchange of 4K material through network.

Specialized monitor exhibition area, viewers can appreciate Sony’s high, middle and low-end full-line monitor series products, including a number of HDR monitors. BVM-HX310, as the 4K HDR industry standard, will display the brightness of 1000 NIT full-screen and pure black display comparable to OLED, reaching a true contrast of millions to millions of full-screen. In addition, the LMD-A series of high-definition monitors are also officially released V3.0 version upgrades, formally supporting HDR curves.

8K Client Monitor. Sony showed two 8K televisions, 98 inches and 85 inches, respectively. Among them, 98-inch 8K TV, restore the 8K material filmed with UHC-8300. The 85-inch 8K TV was transformed into a "client monitor" and displayed with the 8K broadcasting camera UHC-8300. On the premise of meeting the requirements of resolution and brightness, Sony has readjusted the color parameters of 8K TV, which is more in line with the professional gamut and color reproduction ability. Although it is not as accurate as the 8K professional monitor, it can also better reflect the 8K ultra-high definition picture quality and meet the needs of 8K professional monitor for large screen.

In the digital theater area, Sony will display a small laser film projector, SRX-R608. The noise and volume of SRX-R608 have been greatly reduced, but the projection effect still maintains Sony’s consistent standards and requirements, so that the high-end level of Sony is still appreciated by the large number of users who have long placed great hopes on it. Sony combines two advanced projector technologies, the 4K SXRD display chip and the fluorescent laser source, to create a powerful small laser film projector, SXR-R608. This projector is an ideal choice for small studios and inorganic rooms. Because of the SXRD 4K chip, it can project higher pixels with resolution of 4 times 2K and high contrast of 10,000:1, thus bringing a clearer picture and enabling the viewer to appreciate the display content at close range.
