How to connect your Macbook to a TV?

Ever wanted to connect a Mac to a TV screen? Maybe you want to use the TV as a giant external monitor, to play games on a big screen, or just for video playback and movie streaming? The following steps is how to use Airplay from Mac.

1.Make sure your Apple TV and Mac are both on the same WiFi network – they need to both be connected to a WiFi network in order for the connection to be established (which is frustrating if there isn’t a WiFi network!)

2.Click on the AirPlay icon in your menu at the top of your screen (a rectangle with a triangle below).

Here is :How to use Airplay.

3.Apple TV in the section under AirPlay 2 – it may be named after the room it is located in, depending on how you set it up. Click on it.

4.You will now see your screen mirrored on the TV. You can change this if you would prefer to use the TV as a second screen, for example. You can also change the resolution and other settings. If you’d like to make changes open System Preferences.

5.In System Preferences click on Displays > Arrangement and deselect Mirror Displays. This will stop the two displays from being the same (if you want them to be the same check the box beside Mirror Displays).

6.To make further changes easier you can also tick the box beside Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available. Then you will be able to make these changes just by clicking on the AirPlay icon in the menu.
