Space Play – Two Simple Methods to Turn off Mac Space Play

Method 1: Stop interval playback of images on iPhone and iPad

1. Open the control center.

Open the control center. If you are currently mirroring the screen of your iPhone or iPad to another device (such as a TV or monitor) through interval playback, then interval playback can be turned off from the control center.

If the iPhone or iPad has Face ID function, swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to open the control center.

If the iPhone or iPad comes with the Home button, sliding it up from the bottom of the screen will open the control center.

If mirroring is done through an application with built-in interval playback options (such as an Apple TV application), click on the interval playback or screen projection icon in the streaming application. This icon may look like a square with a triangle in the center area at the bottom, or it may be a triangle with a circle at the top, depending on the application. Then, click to turn off interval playback and stop mirroring the application to the interval playback device.

2. Click on screen mirroring

You will see a screen image in the control center. Its icon is two overlapping squares.

3. Click to stop mirroring

Click ‘stop Mirroring’ to end the interval playback session.

Method 2: Disconnect the gap playing audio connection on iPhone and iPad

1. Open the control center.

If you play audio from an iPhone or iPad through speakers or other devices that support interval playback, you can easily turn off interval playback from the control center.

If the iPhone or iPad has Face ID function, swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to open the control center.

If the iPhone or iPad comes with the Home button, sliding it up from the bottom of the screen will open the control center.

2. Click on the Space Play icon on the music tile.

This is a triangular icon with several circles on it. Then, you will see a list of devices, including the devices you are currently using for interval playback.

3. Select your iPhone or iPad from the device list.

For example, if you are using an iPhone, click on iPhone. This will switch the audio stream back to the built-in speaker of the iPhone (or iPad).
